Is it possible to use ezimerchant for free?
Yes. It will be possible to run a fully functional ecommerce website through ezimerchant without incurring any fees.
How much will it cost me?
From nothing at all, to very little, especially when compared against all other solutions available. The cost will be based on the your requirements, and the features you wish to make use of.
I hear version 5 will be web based. Won't it be slower or insecure?
No. Quite the contrary. It will be both faster and more secure.
If version 5 is web based, how will I edit my template?
You will have far more design flexibility in ezimerchant v5 including complete design control over pages that were previously unable to be altered such as the Cart pages, and Checkout Pages.......
Do I have to host my site with you?
No. You will be able to host your website anywhere you like.
Will my existing template still work?
Yes. During the automated upgrade from version 4 to version 5, your template will be automatically converted to a version 5 template.
Can I still process credit cards manually?
Introduction Yes you will be abe to continue processing credit cards manually throught ezimerchant. In line with our "reduce risk", "save time" and "reduce costs" mantra, ezimerchant is introducing more secure PCI compliant credit card processing.
How will I upgrade to version 5?
You will need to ensure that you are running the latest version of ezimerchant Profession (version 4.5). Version 4.5 of ezimerchant Professional has an extra migration tool built in to upgrade existing ezimerchant customers to version 5.
What if I want to continue using version 4?
If you prefer to stay on version 4, you will be welcome to do so. There will be no obligation to upgrade. We will continue to support version 4 as long as it is viable to do so.
How will version 5 affect my search engine optimisation?
Only in a good way. Even though ezimerchant version 5 websites will be dynamic, database driven sites, they will appear identical to the search engines after the initial upgrade.

ezimerchant version 5 introduces a revolutionary new concept - Buy Buttons and Buy Links for Print, Email and Web. All you need to do to take advantage of the buy buttons is to create the product(s) and paste the buy button code(s) into your website. The best part is that you can create unlimited buy buttons for free.
Buy Button or Catalogue Management mode?
ezimerchant can be run in one of two modes:
Buy Button Mode - Unlimited buy buttons are available for free. When running ezimerchant this way there are no monthly fees for catalogue management. We host a list of items you have for sale and you may paste the buy buttons or the buy links the system builds for you onto any website, email campaign or even twitter feed you like.
Catalogue Mode - When running this way ezimerchant will build your website for you just as it did in previous versions.
